This is a female Fire Motley stripe corn at around 110grams.

I need some recommended morphs to breed with her next year. I was thinking bloodred but want to know if there is something more crazy visual wise.

I found someone with some male Amelanistic Bloodred (Fire) corns...That a good idea?

I need the best recommended cornsnake genetic calculator too.
 
Since she is bloodred _and_ motley, the easiest cross would be to another snake containing bloodred, then you don''t have to guess whether bloodred is causing clear bellies or motley or stripe or whatever.
 
Good point Tom! There is no reason to rush her up to the commonly used minimum weight. If she was 100 grams more right now, she might be ready. Is she a 2011?
 
The guy I got her from said it was a possibility that she would be ready to breed by next year since she has been gaining 50 to 70grams a month. He feeds smaller meals to enhance growth. If she isn't ready then I won't breed. She might be a late 2010, I have to check.
 
Well sure, you can pile on enough weight to get her up to 300 grams by next year. The question is, is it "healthy" weight? Are you experienced enough to judge if a borderline snake is fit enough? If this is your first clutch, are you prepared to deal with laying problems? Wouldn't you rather not rush her, have her be a nice strong 400 grams as a three year old, and have an easy time with her? A clutch of eggs will take at least 100 grams off the snake, more likely about 150. I _know_ lots of breeders, both experienced and not, will breed two year old females for whatever reason, but is that the optimal situation when you have no reason to rush into it?
