What's a great night time lamp for viewing?

Corn uber Noob
I'm currently testing the temp range b/t night and day to gauge what kind of blub i want to use for nocternal viewing.
I've seen black, red, and blue light. A little extra heat is ok, but frmo a functional standpoint,it's the light that i am after.

Right now i have a 75 watt red lamp. I may have to swap to a 60 or 40 watt depending on how hot it gets at night. Right now it's holding at 86, much warmer than that, and i'll go with a lower wattage.

what's the max warm side temp for a corn?

EDIT:

I'm planning on going with two low wattage "night-glo" blue lights from exo terra.

Lighing......

Any particluar reason that you're using bulbs? IMO, 86 is a little too warm especially with a lamp for heat.

I use a uth that remains on at all times. The bulb just for night time viewing. I've decided to go with a blue "night-glo" bulb that will give out minimal heat. I shoud add that 86 is the high during the day, it's drops by 3-4 degress in the evening.
