Whats the reason behind his/her name? Post a pic.

Oh, you don't really want me to give the reasons behind names of ALL of our non-human family members, do you? It would take up a couple of pages all by itself :).

Some highlights, though:

Foxworthy Fuzz, my orange and white Pomeranian male. He looks just like a fuzzy little fox :).

Merry Man Underfoot, my cream Pomeranian male. He is a happy, jolly little guy who is always underfoot. Duh! *grins*

Fiona Pop!, my female Pom-Chi mix, was named after the character of Fiona Glenanne in Burn Notice--the tiny little, feisty, ex-IRA g/f of Michael Westin. Our Fiona is also called "Poppy", because she jumps up and down so much. So we added it to the end of her name just for fun, with an exclamation point on the end just to add emphasis. Fi never does anything halfway--just like the character she was named for.

Puck Robin Dogfellow, my male Border Collie. He is a crazy guy--I think something short circuited in his head after puppyhood spent in a pet store window cage. Very mischievous, and always into some sort of trouble. So, "Puck", from myth. Puck, the naughty sprite, also goes by "Robin Goodfellow", so my Puck, being a dog, got named "Robin DOGfellow", instead :).

Hope Leslie Jealous-Canine, my female Border Collie, is a hopelessly jealous girl who wants all the attention for herself :).

Fiesta, my Okeetee male, named because he looks like colorful painted Mexican pottery. It's always a party when Fiesta comes out to play....

Ceilidh (pronounced KAY-lee), one of my male Scarlet Macaws, is a riot of color. The name is Celtic/Gaelic in origin, meaning "Dance". Not alot more joyous than a dance and a gorgeous Scarlet Macaw, imho!

The Incomparable Bowie, my male Capri (3rd gen hybrid) Macaw. "Bowie" is a name from Celtic or Gaelic that means "bright", and he is SO brightly colored! We added "Incomparable" to his name because he's (along with his sister, "Blondie") the most beautiful macaw anyone I know has ever seen, including my somewhat biased self :). Here is Bowie, just for fun:

Had enough, yet? LOL!

Oh gorgeous bird(s)!!!

I'm so jealous :p I love parrots, but gotta admit they make me a little nervous with those big beaks, that and the fact that they would A) outlive me B) are perpetual two year olds and C) I have five cats. I have a huge admiration for anyone that keeps those big beauties and I sure love to admire them!

Yeah, when you keep parrots, you pretty much have to accept the fact that you're gonna get bitten from time to time--especially if you have Scarlet Macaws or hybrids like Bowie, with a lot of Scarlet in them. I know this from experience--I have 3 purebred and 3 hybrid Scarlets :).

One has to be very committed to these fellows for the long term because of the very reasons you mention--their long lifespans, their perpetual "toddler-hood", and their beaks. In addition, they're extremely messy, very noisy, expensive to maintain, and, if you're into macaws, you're obviously a masochist, 'cause you gotta love being around the Drama Queens of the bird world--and the ones with the biggest beaks! LOL!

There was a time when I thought, "These guys are too much!", and considered rehoming some of them. HA! I could as much do that as I could sell one of my children! These guys weasel their way into your heart, despite your better judgement :).

Corns:

-Buko, has lots of yellow, named after my favorite brand of sandwich dairy spread, only available lately with pine apple flavour
-Korben and LeeLoo from one of my favorite movies (guess?)
-Gwendolynn, meaning white rings because she is a snow motley
-(Princess) Leia, Chewbacca and JarJar from Star Wars
-Lucius, Vorenus, Pullo, Althea, Niobe, Atia, Posca (thoug a female) from the great series 'Rome'
- Puppet (translation of aDutch nickname my boyfriend gave me, it was the first snake he held and he 'adopted' her :) )
- Vixen (derived from fox, she is orange)
- Miss Yummy (candy cane-ish, named after a red and white advertising character for a certain brand and type of fruit biscuits)
-Castor and Troy, after two movie characters from the same movie (guess?)
- Diva, because she only ate life pinkies for a long time after she was born
- Scarlett, very red
-Perseus, first called Medusa but turned out to be a male, and Perseus killed Medusa in the myth
-Zedd, after Zedd Zeddicus Z'uul Zorrander from Legend of the Seeker
Kingsnakes:
- Zoltan from another movie (guess?)
-Medusa a.k.a. Psycho, because of her character
-Houdini, escapist avant la lettre

Boa constrictor NiNa: I got her at a German fair, NiNa is a German singer (99 Luftballons)
Gophersnakes Smeagol (two-sided character) and Arwen (gorgeous)
