When are amels in "blue" phase?

Hi,
I've had several corns, but no amels. I now have an amel corn (albino male) and 2 butter striped motleys from Joe Pierce (Great animals by the way if anyone is wondering!). My problem is: I've never had amels and am wondering what to look for when they are preparing to shed?? I know my amel corn (male) is ready just by looking at him since he's been hiding for a few days and he is so dreadfully dull: the butter motley striped female shed about a week ago. But I had no idea the amel was ready to shed since I'm used to the eyes clouding into blue. Any ideas to clue me in?? Thanks! :O) Jenny :dancer:

On Amel corns, the Eyes are red. This makes it very hard to tell the Blue Phase. However, the eyes will turn a dull color too. Also, the snake will be kinda iridescent (sp). Just remember, the eyes will clear up before the shed, so you probably got your Amel after the eyes cleared up.

Good luck and congrats on the new snakes.

Amel's eyes and body have a milky white wash look when they are getting ready to shed.
