oh have I tried and tried methods last fall getting my 06 butter to eat. Live, washed with soap, brains cut open (this almost worked). brains rubbed all over them, backs cut open, live with others brains on them, thawed with out water (worked for my stubborn rainbow boa), scented with gerbil shavings, scent with anole saliva. What worked in the end was putting a small piece of anole shed on the face of a hot water thawed ivory soap washed pinky. After a few of these I transitioned him on to regular f/t pinkies with no problem.
All of these are methods suggested by people here that have worked. The biggest trick is just leaving them overnight in a dark container locked up with the pinky.
Two methods I think are counter-productive are scenting with chicken and tuna. people have suggested this but no one I know has ever reported success. I've seen good eaters reject tuna and chicken scented mice.
Hope some of these ideas help.
