White ..... Yellow?

Snake Charmer 666
I know the title makes no sense, hopefully more people will help that way, i dunno, we will see, lol.

Anyway, the underbelly of my corn snake used to be a very striking white and black. But as hes is getting older the white is going more dull and turning a slight yellowish colour.

Is this due to him getting older or is something wrong? If you would like i could try and get some pictures.

Luke

Pictures would help. I do know that the expression of the yellow pigment increases over time and is linked to diet. Heres my snow's progression showing more yellow over time

What morph is your snake? My normal adult corn Tiaga whom I've had for 4 years now had up until this past year a white/cream belly with black checkers.

with in this past year her belly has turned almost completely orange. I hadn't seen her in a few months as I had been spending most of my time at my friends house. My daughters would come over here and feed the critters every week.

I moved back last weekend and I couldn't believe the changes in Tiaga's coloring after all these years.

I guess that just goes to show our lovely corns never stop changing and growing.

Can't wait to see the pics of your baby.

its his underbelly that is going yellowy. And hopefully its normal.

The first two pictures are near his tail end, his underbelly scales are yellowishh, and the last one is nearer to his head, where they are still white.
Other pics are just him slithering around. His name is vyvyan.

You know what, as weird as it may sound, the "yellow belly" thing happened to one of my male bloodreds one time...

It really freaked me out. Here's a picture example of it.

Perhaps it was the newspaper? I can't really see how that's reasonable though. Anyway, his belly is back to normal now, stark white and red. I have no idea what caused it. These pictures were taken about a year ago. :shrugs:
