Alright its me once again, i was just wondering who is the best breeder out there for a corn snake, so far i know or kathy Love and Moreptiles.com. I just dont know whwat breeder to go to. I want my snake from a profession with good low prices but not to cheap. But before i go to a breeder im going to try petco because sometime you can get some great deal from them. Where they misplace a morph with a regular and you come out on top. But morph is the problem there are so many that i want them all sadly. Well can you guys help me out like tell me ur personal favorites and some of the most popular. Also my favorite colors for them are: red, black, grey, white, orange, and yellow. But still stuck on the morph issuse

Well there isn't a 'best' breeder. There are maybe really good ones. I would definitly reccomend getting one from a breeder than a petstore. Or you could get one at a show depending on where you live.

i live in chiago and there are no shows here. But the only reason i might get one from a petstore well on from petco is because i heard from a friend that they had silver queen ghost and ome other higher end snakes mixed as a normal. They must have thought wrong.

Shows In Chicago Area

Check kingsnake.com. They have a show listed in Grayslake this weekend and in Wheaton next weekend. Additionally, kingsnake.com list dozens of breeders and shops in your area. You are not restricted to PETCO. Chicago is a consumer paradise, second only to New York, in specialty stores. Do some more research before purchasing.

As far as who is a good source, there are dozens of highly reputable people on this forum. I recommend you decide what morph (color) you want and then look for someone who specializes in that color. Not everyone has every color.

Good luck in your search.

I recently bought an Abbott's Okeetee (via FedEx) from Don Soderberg at South Mountain Reptiles in Texas: http://www.cornsnake.net

Don's prices seem to be pretty good (normals are $20, Okeetees $35--even most of the more sexy morphs are sub $100), and I felt that the additional shipping charge was worth it. Most of the local pet stores (I'm in the metro Richmond, Virginia area) simply didn't have a great selection, and the more I looked around, the more questions (usually unanswered) I had about where the creatures had come from, and how they had been cared for. My son and I had also decided that we wanted an Okeetee, and there weren't any to be had around here. Even most of the usual online sources didn't have any in stock this time of year. We decided that because we might have this snake for as long as 20 years we wouldn't settle for whatever the local pet stores might happen to have. We also wanted to make sure we obtained the snake from a really reputable source--and all these things made the extra $46 in shipping well worth it. The shipping process was really easy--I ordered her at about 11 am the day after New Year's, and I was unpacking her about 24 hours later. Don seems like a really nice guy, and took extra time to answer a number of questions I had. It also seems clear that he considers responding to customers' e-mails and phone calls to be an essential part of the transaction, and at the end of the day, if I have problems, I'd much prefer to have the ear of one of the country's top breeders than a local pet store that doesn't know much more about corn snakes than what can be gleaned from a generic care sheet.

Don's new book is also really good. Don't let the "Professional Breeders" designation fool you--this is really a book that spans everything from pre-ownership to introductory breeding.

[Disclaimer: Other than being an extremely satisfied customer, I have no connection or affiliation with South Mountain Reptiles.]

A majority of my snakes are from Michelle, she has EXCELLENT snakes! I highly recommend her.

I give her     4 out of 4 cools

That would be great!!! Do u any babies or are they all adults. For the as the morphs go im looking maybe for some snows, bloods, amel, avery or is it anery, and basically anyone if you can post some pics and prices that would be greatly appricated :crazy02: :wavey:

i own a snake that was originally from michelle but i dont think she knows :)

if you live in chicago, the closest show is in Wheaton twice a month. its worth the drive to atleast see it once. i go to practically every one even though it doesnt change too quickly.

in a few years Lore and myself shall be pumping out some babies (not together, silly. she is far too fertile)

Yeah! I think I heard something about that guy...name's sort of familiar. But he doesn't do alot of breeding...only about 3,000 hatchlings a year...or was it 30 hatchlings...anyway...I think I bought one of his snakes once...or have I purchased over 30 snakes from him over the years? I hate getting old!

Yeah, but doesn't Rich require a $100 minimum purchase before he will ship? That's what the website says, and it's the only thing keeping me from buying from him. Still, if you could run into him at a herp shows, you couldn't get a better snake.
