i guess i am just lucky to have a cheap local source! :shrugs:
Ditto. The pet store in my town is about the only one for miles around with a reliable supply of mice. Still, they don't produce enough to keep me and everyone else around here going. Not to mention they charge $3.00+ for a mouse of ANY age. I could not have afforded $6,000 in mice this year, and it would have been a huge P.I.T.A. anyway, even if they COULD keep up with my demand. :nope:MohrSnakes said:It's plain and simple for me. Money and Mice.
Too much money to buy locally.
And...they couldn't supply enough mice even if I wanted to buy locally.
does anyone have any good online stores they could tell me the mice i buy are quite expensive !
can anyone help
i mena i understand the price is good and all that, Maybe i am just lucky. I dont go through tooo many feeders but i would say i go through about $1000 yearly at the size i am at now. But when i go to shows i just buy my feeders there. i mean even if i bought from rodentpro every 6 months, with shipping the cost is more then i get feeders at shows for. like 35 gram chicks for $.30 , and a lot of people if you keep buying from them will give you good deals, like i just got 1-2 lbs G pigs for $1.75 each and 30-40 gram like large adult mice for $.40. Maybe i am just lucky? It might be somthing some other might want to look into. :shrugs:
PLUS, where I order from, because I am from wisconsin, there is No shipping costs because I always order more than $100 at a time.
there are no shows in the area...although i can get them from the local herp societyIf my ability to get out, ie sick kids, dead vehicle etc. is impaired I do not have to worry about the critters...
Also the price, even with shipping I can get 2 for the same price as the local pet store and I trust the quality/health.
I like having a few months worth of stock on hand as well...if i get hit by a bus the family has one less thing to worry about:shrugs:
Comes down to personal preferance though![]()
just holler, its like borrowing sugar.![]()
