Why is my baby corn hurting himself?

My 4 month old corn keeps rubbing his nose repeatedly against the side of his tank. I've only had him for about a week, is this normal and when will it stop? I keep spotting smears on the glass and I'm worried that it's blood. :eek1:

Hmm I guess not. I am keeping him in a small plastic tub with 2 hides, no vines although fairly deep substrate..and the small tub is inside a 2ft viv - I was told to keep him in the smaller tub until he's about 6 months, then let him out into the bigger viv.

Would he be able to escape the bigger viv? (Sliding doors ALWAYS let babies out!!) If you are positive he cannot- I've just let him out!

That was my main concern. I had a baby corn in this particular viv a few weeks ago, and within a day he'd got through the doors and disappeared. I sorted out the gap with foam, but I'm still a bit reluctant to let the current baby out of the smaller box until he's literally too big to be in it, just in case it happens again.
Do you think he would stop rubbing his nose if I let him out?

If your previous baby escaped, do NOT let the new one out. I think he _might_ stop rubbing if you gave him more stuff, and/or a larger plastic container.

Okay then, I will wait until he's bigger. I will try adding some more stuff into the container, if that doesn't work then I will upgrade the tub size. Thank you for your help.
