Wind Serpents 2016 planned pairings

Good luck!

Thanks! The two worrisome eggs have bounced back and look plump again. The down side is that all the extra water has triggered mold growth on the bad eggs. It was a bit chilly this morning, so I will wait to tackle the mold with listerine this afternoon since it has yet to spread. It's only day 41 so there's a good chance it could get pretty gross.

We're back down to one little egg, still trucking along. Could hatch any day now, though a few more days at least wouldn't surprise me.

You can see how, erm...colorful the others have gotten. The one up front to the right was the leaky egg. It finally turned yellow and started to shrivel. Last night I picked it up and noticed the bottom was entirely caved in. Alas! The darkly shadowed, shriveled up brownish one was the first to go. These two were late to show veining, so they probably didn't form correctly anyway. It's also possible it could have succumbed to bacterial infection, since the membrane was clearly compromised. If I get a healthy baby, I have a 50-50 shot at hatching the female I need!

I am tempted to open up the one that recently died, just to see what was going on in-egg. Any reason why I shouldn't?

In lighter news, I'm going to be picking up two new adults and two small clutches of OOE babies, so I'm still getting some practice this season! More about that once I'm set up for them and they arrive.

India has decided she needed to prove to me she was indeed female by laying 3 slugs and an infertile last night. I gave her a lay box, since I'm not convinced she's done at just 4 total, and I think I can feel a few more, but it's hard to say. The infertile egg feels thinly-walled, which concerns me, so I don't want to be too rough with her. She's so small I had no idea she was even gravid, but she's been eating well aside from a couple skipped meals while in shed and has had only slow, steady weight gain.

Meanwhile London is looking quite miserable in what appears to be a pre-lay shed. Hopefully we'll get another chance at fertile eggs this time around. She's still eating ravenously, so hopefully she'll bounce back. I'm not brumating so she'll have all winter to get her strength back.

Aw yay!! Congratulations on your pippie, can't wait to see more pictures :) sorry about the other eggs though, hopefully London will give you a surprise, and let me just say that she is such a stunner too!

Still just a nose peeking out, though it ducked back in at least once last night when I removed the lid. I closed up the tub and will give it til late tonight before checking again. Hopefully it'll be out by then.

So TEENY! We think it's a girl, but she's so little I don't want to pop her just yet. I may after a shed though. Candled her tail and saw glands but not hemipenes. Hoping I'm right!

She looks to be a hypo lavender, which is what I expected. She's also het motley and 50% het amel.

The lighting is bad here. She's a LOT more pink in person. We'll get better pics after the first shed. :)

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I stayed up hoping for a post! Hooray for you little one. How tiny and precious, and the tail up by your finger is absolutely lovable. I'm so happy for you!

Thanks guys! She came out ready for a fight! Stopped only long enough to attack my hand at first, but I think she will get used to handling pretty quickly. :3 It's going to be soooo hard leaving her alone for now.

She doesn't seem to have the peach tone of her father's line, more the pinks of her mother. Perhaps peach is a gene after all?

Got a few quick snaps of Ellie in the window and managed to capture her pink color, though she's in blue now. I'll get a proper progression thread started once she sheds.

. . . It's going to be soooo hard leaving her alone for now.
. . .

Well, well. You DO have a sensitive side! (I suspected as much all along!!!) But that's OK, after all you ARE a person, no? :poke:

Very cute little sneaky one! :p
