WOW!!! Unbelievable Size!!!

CornCrazy

What's one more???
I just weighed one of my largest 2002 corns (a creamsicle from Blue Ribbon Herps) and she weighed a whopping 376 grams! I've got about five or six 2002 corns that are around this size. It amazes me how some of them will get huge fast and others take their time. All of my 2002 corns are on a once a week feeding schedule, by the way.

I'm headed to bed right now because I'm driving to Atlanta in the morning, but I'll try to get a picture posted in the next couple of days.

Hey CornCrazy,

I also have a pair of 02s from Bill that are big growers. One of the best buys I've had. :D

Do you use calcium or mineral supplements? I am using it on my female i am going to breed to build up her calcium levels for making eggs-but do you think it would help them grow faster and bigger?

CAV-
My other 2 creams from Bill are pretty big, too. They aren't anywhere near as big as this one, though.

mattsnake-
I haven't been using supplements very often in the past, but recently read that the females do better at laying time so have started doing them every time for the breeding sized (or almost breeding sized) ones. I have not noticed increased growth since I have been using the supplements.

CornCrazy,

I remember that you picked those up right before I got mine. How much did they weigh when you got them?? Mine are still just under 200g. 376g is incredible!

This one weighed 126 grams 2 days after I got her. She has gained 250 grams. I got this snake a little while after my other 2 creams from Bill.

My male creamsicle from Bill only weighed 34 grams 2 weeks after I got him. He now weighs 140 grams (a gain of 106 grams).

My other female (a beautiful high yellow cream) weighed 68 grams 2 weeks after I got her. She now weighs 224 grams (a gain of 156 grams)

My neighbor has a huge yearling corn. It's 3 1/2 ft long (at least), and has good girth. I wish my yearlings grew like that! They've only been feeding once a week, and about the only thing different than mine is that they moved up to larger food items sooner. Now it's about as large as my '01s and eating ex-breeder mice!

my yearling is just 30" long.. no idea on weight, but she seems healthy and that is far more important than size in my opinion

Yeah...four or five of mine can take down a weanling rat with NO problem. It's amazing! The weird thing is, I don't move up in food size until they start digesting their current food size rapidly. I guess they are like any other species...some just grow faster and bigger than others.

I agree that health is the most important thing., by the way!
