Answered an ad the other day for Corn Snakes for sale. Breeder getting out of the business. Out of 200+ snakes, he had, he had 5 left. These five were his favorites out of all the Corns he had. He was selling them for $50 each or $75 for the male. We wanted the Normal as she is beige with rust saddles, she is also het for Lavender, Ghost and Anery. Very pretty. She is a great breeder, and 6 years old. He hatched her from an egg. We were going to get two, but I decided one would be enough. I emailed the breeder before we were to meet, but he had not checked his email before he left to meet us. The other snake is a female Anery - silver and black in colour. She is also from the same clutch as the Normal. She is a great breeder too. Well, we told the breeder that we had tried to contact him and tell him we had decided on not two but one snake. We were suppose to get both snakes for $75, but since I decided not to take the second one, he decided that it would be best for us to just take it for free. This way it would have a good home. That is all he was worried about. So, for $50 we got two top breeding females. It was very nice of him to do this. I never expected it as I was just wanting the Normal.

I think their breeding days are over and they can enjoy the rest of their lives. They are both 6 so I don't know if they would still breed or not, but I think I will leave that to the people who want to breed their snakes. There's enough animals out there already looking for homes. I don't want to add to this..... These girls are just going to be pets. They have been to many reptile shows all over and have been handled by hundreds of kids too. They are so docile. I think I am just going to let them relax and enjoy being pets. Their work is done and over and now it's just time for them to relax and be pampered.

That is sooo cool.... I had a guy give me 2 males for free cause i bought one of his girls and he was sick so had no time to care for them. He was triing to talk me into taking 2 milk snakes but my wife was the one telling me no .she got mad cause i brought home the 2 males

Great going! I believe that 6 is not too old for breeding. You might want to check on that.

Great deal! Six years old is actually still in prime breeding age for a healthy female corn but just because you have an animal doesn't mean you must breed it, yes.
