True, there were some decent people that did get people off my case, grew up and accepted that maybe I was decent. Was it not you and Jim that posted on my FACEBOOK wall about this kid? Look I am not on the kids case because he wants animals, but because he shows a lack of maturity, unlike that of mine. And now I understand how frustrating I was.
 
I know if I had the time and opportunity I'd find gliders hard to resist! Right now I haven't realistically got the time or enthusiasm for 'cage' pets that I used to have, so I'll be looking forwards to seeing and hearing about your gliders on here

I haven't posted anything about anybody on your facebook wall. Okay- so now that you understand, did people pissing and moaning at you and about you help? What that constructive? Lead by example.
 
I actually didn't mean anything I said to be rude at all, I was giving my opinion. No I'm not the pet police. I told him good luck and that I ment make it fun researching together with his sister so they're not just her pets. I also said that he should want to look after them too, not just pay for them since they'd be his pets too.

I don't remember the other thread exactly, but I thought he was asking questions for his sister. Never did I say I was going to MAKE SURE that he researched them. >.>

I honestly thought I wasn't being rude and if it was taken that way, sorry. I was just giving my opinion on changing his mind on pets all the time. I think he should know 100% what he wants before getting into it, just like ALL pet owners.

I also thought you were very nice on the forums before this, but the comment you gave me on the last one (and sorry if I took it the wrong way) sounded a little harsh, when I was also saying nice things like they're very cute and good luck... as well as having them work together would give them 2 times the chance of a good home.

I still personally think he should research them together and make it a fun project if he hasn't already done so, and I do wish him luck. I just hope he's reseached them 100% and they're sure they want them and can take care of them properly.

Okay, back on November 6th I said this: Nanci LeVake "I don't know...He isn't as (don't listen, David) egotistical as David was. And nowhere near as knowledgeable.

Ok. I just wanted to say sorry to all I have made mad thank you to everyone who has been helpful. I do say I want...a lot of stuff but that does not mean im getting it im just one of the kids who loves to talk. I am going to quit with all of it tho I will now only be posting that I want something after I have dont alot of research and see that it is something I want to get into. As far as taking care of gliders goes I have done a lot of research they were what I wanted before I found snakes. But after all of the research I learned for now they are way to hard. I think that maybe if I help my sister over time it wont be so bad so that in case one day she does not want them I would be ready.
 
And that is why I succeeded with my ventures. I knew what I was doing. With the King ratsnake thread, all those people were wrong. I did know what I was doing. Sure you could say I was unhinged egotistical brat, but hey the snake is still alive. I fear that this kid will not be able to do well with these animals. And consequently, the animals will suffer.
 
It was very complimentary. I really appreciated it, and I am not faulting you for it. But I am saying that the conversation there showed that you feel that this kid may no know what he is doing.
 
David no offence, but I think Nanci is right.
In my opinion the facebook comment seemed pretty complimentary.

I think you may have taken it the wrong way, since to me it looked like she said you were knowledgeable. And as much as some people think having an ego is a bad thing, I still wouldn't call it an insult more just an observation.

Actually it meant that you are well-known for doing extensive, encyclopedic research on any animal you might acquire, and you could talk coherently about any of them. I'm not ready to say I _know_ Nitelion is as driven as you are. In fact, that seems like it would be highly unlikely.

Thank you, Nanci. All I am saying is that this kid, seems to not show his knowledge on the forum. Maybe he is really smart. But I don't see that when he talks about his animals.
 
Well give him a chance! He might not have been born with a silver snake tail in his mouth like you and I.

Helping your sister will be a good way of learning just whether they are the right pet for you or not, sounds like a good plan to me, plus this way your sister has you as back up too.
 
Just wanted to say I am not getting them friday. As I said before its my sister that wants them and is going to do most of the care and she wants to wait a little longer so were thinking maybe next Feb.

Have you thought about meeting anybody who has them and to see their "'set up"" and all!!
