Good news, my mom agreed to let me have a corn snake! :-D Yes, only one, but that's just for now ;) I know exactly everything i need thanx to you guys and Kathy Love's book, but can't decide whether to get an amel at Prehistoric Pets (CA), or an Okeetee from Rich. Most people are pointing to Rich and I really want a great quality snake in Okeetee because that is what I really wanted, but I just wanted your opinion of whether you would pay the extra for shipping or not. I can make decisions :p but juat wanted an opinion...

I'm not sure the price diference, but if buying a healthy guaranteed corn locally would help you to have funds in reserve for frozen mice and possible vet trips, that's what I would choose. If money is no object, that is to say that you'd have funds for frozen mice and possible vet trips even if you spent the extra to have the corn shipped from Rich, then by all means, go for it.

Congrats

Congrats on acheiving approval to aquire a snake. I know how hard it can be to get approval. I spent two years arguing my case to allow a snake in our house, but its totally worth it.

If the pet store price is within $10-20 of the SerpenCo price (+ shipping), get one from Rich. It will definitely be worth the little extra in the long run.

FWIW, I picked up a 0.1 Okeetee, het Hypo from him last month. It is very nice and is a great feeder.
