Yep, kings are fun!

Mice! They taste so nice!
Skeeter is growing fast, and I'm thinking I may need a hook when he gets bigger, because his feeding response is so enthusiastic I've noticed him 'drawing a bead' on my hands for a while now,and he tagged me last week

I love kings, mine looks a little smaller than yours but the feeding respose is great. Constricts and is always hungry. I was feeding him twice a week to get him to grow a little quicker because is is alot smaller than my other snakes. But now after two sheds I have decide to go on the normal once a week feed because he seemed to get a little too comfortable with twice a week. They are great!

Hey Becks! He's a goinii x brooksi. I don't know how much of his orange colouring will fade, but he's got a very engaging personality
(and thanks,carolinacorns,any pictures of yours?)

To be honest, Nanci, even if he ends up sludge brown I won't mind. Him and Mr Bonney my ratsnake are funnier than the corns, both more alert to what's happening around them. I'm wandering around my room then I suddenly notice those two are watching me!

Thanks Janine, he is so cool. I like him a lot. I'd love a kingsnake, but I'm having trouble finding anywhere to place another 3ft viv! :grin01:

Here's some more piccies of him, I'll have to get some more non-feeding shots soon

I love the third pic down. Looks like he takes his constricting seriously. :grin01:
He's just gorgeous. Such nice vibrant colours.

He really does! He'd started to get a little lazy and just cruise up and start eating, so I've been doing the zombie mouse dance with great results

Shouldn't think it took him long to catch on... being a king and all... the ones I've met will eat anything that moves (and some things that don't) :grin01:

I too LOVE the king snakes Janine. I have 2 eastern kings, 3 cal kings and a Goini, a Prairie king, a speckled king, and a desert king! So as I said..hehe..I love the kings. All of my kings are voracious eaters and most attack their food with vigor and wrap it up. My largest kings right now are only 3 years old but weigh in around 800 grams and they are still growing...

I think the only problem I have had with them is sometimes when the cat strolls by , they think its food too...lol.

That's what makes him more fun! The corns and the ratsnake like to be left alone to eat, whereas I don't think anything would put him off his meals.

That's a great picture Dawn! I've been toying with the idea of either a speckled or a desert king as my next snake

I totally reccomend them. I am selling some of My "Pets" and the desert and albino speckeled are in the group I should sell, but I will miss them when I do.

Lovely kings! Thanks Dean, you know you're responsible for the little monster ending up in my collection!

Here's Skeeter constricting my hand, it's the way he likes to be held! Then he got a couple of peach fuzzies to squeeze instead
