This was labeled as just "albino" but wanted other opinions. Does he/she look like a normal amel or maybe sunglow? The eyes are red. I'll post a picture of the vent and tail later for opinions on the sex of the snake also. It was labeled as a male but someone else that has seen it in person thought it was a female. Thanks everyone.

Looks like it has a few white specks on its dorsal surface, but I think it still qualifies as sunglow amelanistic. It also looks like it's in some stage of shed phase in the pics. Nice looking snake.

Actually it just shed three days ago. I think that the pictures are just a little blurry although it does seem to be a little opaque/dull looking in person. I'll try one more that was taken with the flash on.

That makes perfect sense. After reading this reply, I remembered some pics I took of my sunglow motley hatchling two months ago. Both pics are nearly the same, but I used the flash on one of them and not the other. The flash doesn't make a big difference with all my snakes, but with this guy it sure does. In fact, without the flash, his coloration looks almost identical to when he's in shed. I wish I'd remembered this before I posted my previous remark. :awcrap:

Of course, for sheer blinding effect, I find that direct sunlight on some amels, especially young ones, can be very affective.

I wanted to take a picture of him in the sun but unfortunately out here in Oregon we may not see the sun for the next six months. :awcrap:

I'd have to say that in my not-quite-so-prefessional-as-I-am-still-learning-how-to-be-a-real-expert opinion, that you have a nice-looking sunglow on your hands.
