Funny title for a thread, lol. But I've had great success in breeding mice.
Any colony maintenance is accompanied by a crumbled animal cracker or two. This results in a slight behavior modification - the mice tumble out of their hides when I come into the room & reach up for a cracker. Makes it easy to access their condition each day
Anyway.... it's just fun to give them a small treat. Besides cleaning, feeding, culling, and daily checks, they're pretty much left alone.
I've never had an adult mouse bite me & have a very low occurrence of females eating their young. (usually when starting out a new colony tank with first time breeders)
Enjoy the photos
Don't they look good enough to eat!! Yummm!!
