i did a search and couldn't find a thread specifically dedicated to bite pictures, so post them here! we know the first thing you do after getting bit is grab the camera, rather than washing the blood off, so COME ON GUYS! blood or no blood, cute or horrifying, we all wanna see them!

i'll start:

That's so true!

This is from one of my carpet pythons. I had to wash the blood off because it was dripping everywhere! I had a lot of swelling and brusing from this one; one of the worst I've received.

My ATB Calypso doesn't like cameras. When her strike missed the camera she took it out on my hand. *Note to self: Hold Calypso or take photos of her..but never at same time*

Dangermouse (anery stripe) has a pretty good grip when he bites. I had time to grab the camera before he let go.

Bad picture 'cause it was off my cell phone, but my amber Copalli missed her mouse and pinned its tail to my finger (and constricted my hand).

I have been bitten so many times that now instead of panicking, I freak people out by screaming for the camera.

Psycho, when it comes to the MBK is an understatement. LOL! I cannot get over the feeding responses of these snakes. I feed all of my snakes in seperate containers and the moment I drop them in the feeding bin, they start biting the floors, walls and themselves. They are nuts!

I know that if you can get them out and let them settle down a bit, they are quite handleable, but you cannot have any foreign smells on your hands or anything.

it was a freak accident, mostly. i was moving him from his "housing tub" to his "feeding tub" and after i set him down, i was pulling my hand back out of the tub and lowering down the lid at the same time, and BAM he bit me! it was kind of like "ummmm, really? did you just do that? i swear i didn't even see him flying through the air at me haha.

here are a few more from the other day, our 85 gram het. pied female ball python "Peanut" lunged at me! i was soooo surprised she's had the most mellow feeding response out of almost any of our many many snakes, but last night i went to put the hopper in her cage and hadn't realized she was blue and she came at me and latched on. too bad she let go before i could get the camera, it would have been an adorable picture.

i know about all the separate "Bite Club" posts but i thought it'd be kinda fun to compile all the pics in one place!

Some of my bites From Twopersons. The first is when he was a hatchling and couldn't draw blood. As he's got older his strike rate has decreased but his success in getting the blood to flow has increased!

From my lovely MBK Cruella, the only time she ever bit me. I just moved her in a permanent viv after being quarantined for a long time and wanted to adjust her bedding. Apparantly she liked her new home and was NOT going to allow tresspassers

Funny enough, it wasn't that painfull. My only memory of the bite was thinking of the amount of jaw pressure that was exerted. Incidentally, on the middle pic of my hand you see a u - shape from the lower jaw. There were 31 puncture wounds in that u -shape and it took about 10 days to fade away.

This guy got me while I was holding him with one hand and trying to get my camera out with the other. He wasn't angry, he just also didn't intend to be restrained. I couldn't get him off with only one hand, so I had to put him down so that he let go, gently step on him, and re-grab him before he went down his ant-hole.

I got my first bite today from Mr. Reggie Crabbypants. LOL! I didn't realize what was going on at first... just that my finger was stuck.

Sorry that it's a lame phone photo and after the fact... I didn't have a camera handy to catch the bite in action.
