Red snakes in nice light

We so rarely get soft light around here, so when it has rained but is still overcast and I'm at home for it, out I go with the red snakes. Some are a little blurry because the snakes aren't still, but it's so nice to be able to see their colors not amped up by indoor lighting and flash and not washed out by strong sunshine.

the hypo blood son of the previous two

Beautiful shots. I agree, best time to take a picture and see the true colors is when it's overcast and the lighting is even.
 
They're all gorgeous and I think the hypo blood son is going to surpass his parents by the time he reaches maturity.
 
A little cloud cover is nature's light diffuser :). Your snakes are beautiful! The last hypo blood is bright.

That phantom is too cute. I love how blue her eyes are.

Thanks, Susan. I think so too. Then I don't know what I'll do, since I'm keeping some strict numerical limits on my adult breeders and I'm so fond of his dad!
