Difference between Snow and Coral Snow?

I was just wondering what the difference between snow corn snake and coral snow corn snake HATCHLINGS look like. I have an adult snow corn snake and an adult coral snow corn snake, and I bred them this year, and I was just thinking, what if I proove my snow female to be het hypo and some baby coral snow and snows come out? I looked on ians vivarium and they kinda both look the same with very little differences, so if anyone can point out something to me that I will be able to determine which babies are hypo and which ones are snow, that would be great. Thanks everyone! :)
 
Just judging from that photo, I'd definitely say look for a lighter ground color from the regular snows. I had 3 snows hatch out last year, and each had the possibility of being a coral (hypo) snow, and I didn't notice any of those differences. Now, also keep in mind that not all people call Hypo Snows "Coral Snows" anymore. "Coral" is usually reserved for the very pink line bred snows (and now ghosts) that a few breeders have been working on.
I just labeled them as poss het/homo hypo to account for any possibility.
 
I've noticed most breeders (Lexcorn for example) labels all Snow x Hypo Snow and similar pairings as regular Snows poss. het. / homo Hypo. As there's no 100% certain way to identify them.

For what Don Soderberg has found out, Hypo A doesn't necessarily change the appearance of a Snow at all. He's done a pairing of two Ghosts het. Amel and the resulting Hypo Snows grew up to look just like plain Snows. This fact came up in another discussion of Coral Snows, which are supposedly NOT Hypo Snows but perhaps Strawberry Snows.

So where is you Coral snow from? Is it a Hypo Snow or a true Coral type Snow from for example South Mountain Reptiles or Poppycorns? Hypo Snows and true Coral type Snows are completely two different things.
 
Well in that case, my male is a hypo snow, at least thats what he was sold to me as. Here are some pictures, the first two pictures are my male hypo snow and the second two pictures are my female snow.

I love the pattern on that female Snow. So cool! I bet they'll produce some very pretty little Snow babies. :)
 
Very good looking Snows. wether I would specifically call the male a Hypo snow or not..... I am not sure. Again some resarch has indicated that the standard Hypo A gene does not affect the snow apperance. I think it is more the non simple reccesive genes in the Hypo part of the linage that affects the snow more than anything.

I don't quite understand what your trying to tell me, but are you saying my male isn't a hypo snow? That would suck, but he is soooo pink! The males pictures are from at least 6 months ago, the snows are from yesterday. The male has gotten ALOT pinker, I'll take some pictures in a few days, he just ate today so I'll wait a little.
 
I call bologna on Hypo A not affecting the appearance of a snow as an adult.

That's what have been tested and found out: Hypo A doesn't necessarily affect on a Snow's appearance on any way. Although I'm not sure if it CAN affect or if it WILL NOT affect...
For what I know, Don Soderberg himself told he's done a Ghost + Ghost pairing, got Snows (Hypo Snows to be accurate) out of it and they all grew up to look just like regular snows.

At first it has been believed that Hypo A would be the key behind very pink snows, but now that's been proven otherwise. Anyway, testing and testing and testing is going on.
First of all Connie Hurley has got results which indicate that Strawberry and Hypo A would be allelic like Ultra and Amel. So which pink Hypo Snows are indeed Hypo Snows and which perhaps Hypo/Strawberry Snows? Or something else? Many labelled Hypo Snows might have been Hypo/Strawberries (or something similar) in the first place and that way caused a cycle of mislabelling.

At this point Strawberry is believed to have something to do with Coral Snows, but that's still being tested.

She didn't have a lot of bright pinks, she had very soft colors.
 
Yeah the difference is pretty stunning. She's a 2007... that picture was taken early 2009 I believe. She was a big girl. ;)
 
Well, one of my snow is ALOT darker than normal snow, when he was hatchling, he have very bright yellow on both sides from mouth to middle of body. The borders on saddles are light green..so I was wondering what kind of snow was it...

Btw, Glazer looks beautiful so does pearl!

If he has like green borders and snow pinkish borders too, he is most likely a pink and green spot snow.

Sounds like I did find the unique type of snow out of Petco, but Im glad I have him anyways, doesn't matter if he is regular or unqiue type.
Everytime I go to petco, I always check what kind of morph they sell, and rescue him away from the store.
