Crazy Critter Lady
I see hypo on that caramel type too, very nice yellow looking eyes. The other one I have to say is a classic, but who knows what it is het for. Let us know what hatches!
I would not say the second pic is a amber it looks like a real nice caramel. I got one adult male Caramel off RZ that looked just like the snake in the second pic
Thanks, I don't believe that it is an Amber, though it may be het hypo. He was VERY dark as a baby. His black is black, though it may look grey through the tub. I think the male is just a really nice Caramel.
Dont be so fast to run to the vet. I have had females that retained eggs that passed them with in a month if she is passing eggs then leave her alone and monitor the eggs movement if they are moving down then leave her alone. When they deflate the eggs they have to puncture the oviduct which can make scar tissue. That scar tissue can block eggs from passing down the oviduct next year and may render her useless for breeding
BTW you do have a real nice caramel if it was a amber it would have been a pale amber color as a hatchling
I understand what your saying, but I'd rather have a live pet, then a dead breeder. She passed four, and the 5th has not moved in 24 hrs. I can't get an appointment with the vet, until tomorrow anyway.

Well, she had not been bred this year or while I owned her. I had never had a female who had eggs and consulted others for advice and understood that if I left her alone she may either lay the eggs or may reabsorb them. She never did stop eating or change any of her behavior until a week or so before I took her in so I was trying to let her deal with it on her own and not have to put her through surgery.
The vet said that if it would not have been for the one egg that had gotten stuck right in her pelvis she would have been able to lay the eggs. As well that it and the one right beside it were the only ones that did not start to reabsorb on their own.
