LOL. This continues to be one of my favorite threads. When it pops up on my User CP, I always wonder, "What now?" LOL.

Beautiful Corn... and of course, I love the racers too!

August 3rd began.....

well with this fiesty little turtle. Later though I found where two others had fallen on the hot asphalt and couldn't escape.....

And then this....

goes to show if you don't pay attention to what you're doing, bad things can happen. The driver was O.K. at first, but as time went on he felt some pain and went to the hospital.....

Man that's a good size track, either Indigo or most likely a fat D-Back would be my guess.

Y'all have a lot of wash outs to clean after yesterdays downpour?

No idea what your "friend" is, but it has got to be pretty large...

The turtle... does it have a hook and fishing line on it??? Looks like it... Too bad about the others...

As for the truck... man, that has got to be an expensive mistake. I think I would "be hurt" and go to the hospital too... even if I wasn't. Perhaps the boss would be a little more "forgiving". LOL. Actually, I hope the guy is okay. Let us know.

My thoughts Butch.....

I've seen large Indigos leave some straight lines due to their quickness. Looking at the second set you can see where the belly scales were picked up and moved forward. My guess is a Diamondback. You bet everytime it rains now I'm back on that road.

No fishing line but a bug. That driver was on his second day on the job. The next day, a guy ran the water wagon off road striking the last tree he could before hitting the creek. Waiting for OASHA any day.
As far as the first truck boo boo....It is up in the air as to whose fault it was. He should have dumped at the bottom of the pile and allowed the contractor to move the limerock. But the contractor "may" have had them backing up the pile (you can clearly see a ramp) which makes those trucks unstable.

How on earth did the truck driver manage to do that!? I, too, would be going to the hospital "hurt" regardless of whether I had pain or not, but I sure hope s/he wasn't actually injured.

Oh boy, I just went back & looked at the truck pics. It's even worse than I thought it was. Ugh, that's gonna be expensive! That poor driver.

They were.....

having them back up the pile to dump their load. When those type of trucks lift the beds to that height at a 45 degree angle they are very unstable.
