Daytona Pick Ups (for Lenny)

Here are the critters we ended up picking up at Daytona (which was a BLAST and if you've never been, you really ought to go)

The first pick up was a total impulse... something we've always said would be "cool" to own.

This is Robin, a male normal het amel, anery, br, hypo and ph lav from Corn Moon Cornsnakes (Lynnea).

We bought a male and will seek out one or two females with possible matching hets to produce a future "rainbow" clutch.

Second pick up, Tara has been seeking for sometime. She wanted just the "right" motley with a hurricane pattern. She found this lovely anery mot boy at BHB. He's been named Cane.

This was our third purchase, also on our "want list" for some time. This is a true Abbott's Okeetee, purchased from Lee himself. Meet Salsa.

Fourth I really was not expecting to come home with, but has been my biggest wish snake for going on two years. I just wasn't expecting to see so nice a snake for so good a price. This is Jake, our yearling butter stripe male from Alain.

Lastly, we found a November 2009 Cape Gophersnake. We first saw Cape Gopher's at MARS last year and really liked them. Did not have the funding to buy one then and haven't seen one worth buying since. We've named him Dragon. :)

Forgot to add little Target. We won Target in the raffle on Saturday night. He is a lovely little crestie.

Thanks for looking.

Well thanks guys.
I really really like what you picked up.
The motley with a hurricane pattern, Abbott's Okeetee and if that was a female stripe butter I would be robbing you house.

Thanks again.
Maybe one day I'll head south

Great pics! Love the butter! I got some snakes that would make fabulous bf's for Robin ;)

I sooo wanted to go. We shoulda just hitched a ride with you guys! lol

Robin is actually a boy. I know it's kind of a girly name but we wanted something to reflect the multitude of hets and "Baskin Robins" has 32 flavors. ;)

But Robin of Loxley was pretty strapping, so whatev!

I would be robbing you house.

Just let us know when you're coming to rob us. We'd love to meet you! ;)

Gorgeous pickups! LOVE the Cape Gopher!!!

Thank you Michael!

Love the corns, of course, but DRAGON is my favorite!!! Congrats on all the additions, Lauren!!

Dragon sure looks BRILLIANT!!! Mega jealous here! :)

Congratulations! My favorite is Jake- of course!! Isn't it amazing to see Lee's table? You can tell who it is just by the sea of orange. Not just corns, either!!

Thanks for all the compliments! We really were pleased with the additions, and are very happy with our collection. A while back we went through a "breed it" phase where we were very unfocused. We cut back and now only purchase animals we REALLY like. If breeding comes of it, that's great. If not, we've got great pets that we really love looking after. We also are always looking for animals that will work well in our educational programs as well.

We actually named them on the way home and mentioned Big Jake while considering the name for our butter stripe. We named him after Jake Black from the Twilight series, because he is Bella's "sunshine."

Beautiful snakes that look even better in person!!

:) :) :)

Can't wait to see you again!!!
