New snake, what is he?

So I went to the store owned by a guy i met at the last expo I went to. When I talked to him I told him how I preferred adults to babies, and he takes in snakes that no one wants any more, and sells them at his shop. So I made the 1.5 hour one way trip to his store today and came home with this guy (or girl). The owner wasn't there, and the girl working told me he was anery, but I didn't know anerys were so brown. Anyway, here are some pictures. His name is Whiskey. I know he's not a "pretty" snake, or flashy or colorful, but he's so very sweet and social and I really fell in love the first time I saw him.

Also, he's a big guy at about 570 grams. Tried to weigh him but he was too interested in crawling around but it stayed at 570 for longer than any of the other numbers, so i went with that.

He could be an anery or dark ghost, or maybe he has some emoryi rat snake in his veins, though only the colors seem to be a little off, the pattern and head look very corny to me.

Thanks! So I was looking at pictures, and wretchedprocess originally said it, but does he look more cinder to any of you? And I'm going to keep calling him a he, even though i have no clue what he is.

Either light anery or dark ghost. As to being "too brown"... well, Eliel certainly beats him on the brown scale and El' is a ghost.

Many aneries get a brown wash as they age. It can happen ghosts, too. I think he or she is a very nice mature anery, possibly ghost. There's nothing in him visually to think there's emoryi in him. Corns are highly variable in appearance.

Hee, he is a Mystery Snake! I'm no expert, especially in the browner or yellower morphs, but I still like cinder as an explanation. In part because he looks like the pictures, and in part because you never hear about them. Either way, I love the name, and the shop you got him at sounds lovely! So cool that you got to pick up an adult. One day mine will grow...

Though, yeah, there are pictures on Ians Vivarium of anerys who look a lot like him. Maybe you can tell from his eyes?

He is adorable! Can we get a shot with him wrapped around an arm or something, for a better idea of his size?

Hmmm. Don't know what to call him. I'll look up more pics tomorrow. I'll leave him alone for a few days then get some arm pics. He's very strong too. I love him already!

Looks a lot like my darkling but no one can decide if she is anery or ghost either lol. I have to do test breedings in the future!
