Subocs anyone?

About time I showed these kids off a little. First up is the female (who is the most beautiful silver suboc on earth as far as I'm concerned).

I love that high contrast symmetrical pattern.

I also picked up this little male to pair with her later on.

Glad I'm not the only one who likes this girl. There are plenty of nice subocs out there, but as far as my personal taste I don't think they get much nicer.

Great snakes, I've got the same exact pair, the female is a Axanthic Blonde and the male is a Blonde het Axanthic. They are both 2010's but the male is a fussy eater and the female is 4 times the size of him. Sean tells me that it is pretty normal for the male to be fussy, do you find the same thing?

Very Nice!!:cool: Great species to keep. I bred them for awhile. They will test your patience when it comes to breeding.;)

Actually, yes! The male has only taken 2 small pinkies for me since I got him. He maintains great body weight and is active, just doesn't want to eat much. She acts like she'd take mice every day if I'd let her though.

Uh oh, that's not what I want to hear haha. Actually I just liked the female so much I figured I might as well get a male so they can earn their keep-if the worst case scenario is both of them ending up as pets, I think I can live with that.

As far as I'm concerned... you're right! That silver Suboc is just perfect. So smoothly colored/patterned. I love the appearance Trans-Pecos rat snakes in general, but those two are very nice!
