Hi, im new to this forum but loving it already. i aquired a classic corn about 2 months ago, i was told he/she was about 1 year and 9 months old. i got home and weighed he/she right away, it read 30g 2 months on and it reads 39g and 53cm long. is this right? ither the snake is not the right age that i was told or is underweight for age and length. he/she is happy and active.
i would appreciate some help thanks.

Welcome!!

Snakes grow at different rates. I have a number of holdbacks from clutches a year ago, & some of them are pretty big, some are still fairly small. I have three siblings. One was a problem feeder at first, he took a long time to get eating & is a slow grower, & he's still only 12 grams. A female sibling of his was a slow grower, but recently hit a growth spurt & is 26grams. Another male from the same clutch is one of the fastes growers in that clutch & is 70grams.

Be sure to post pics of your new snake! :)

Thanks for your help guys really helped. I will post pics once I get the hang of this site lol thanks again. :)

Thank you, hi dragon666 I'm not sure if she was I rescued her from someone who had 2 and couldn't cope, they were just going to let her go outside, so I took her on and has been fab, after reading posts on this site it got me wondering if the age is wrong as It didn't seen right to me.

theres alot of things it could be say if the other person was under feeding it could of stunted the growth or it could just be a runt or a number of other things got a pic of it?

Hi, I cant seem to upload a pic. She also has a small ridge on her back unsure if shes been that way from birth or an injury sustained before I got her, it hasn't affected her shed or feeding so I don't think it's anything to worry about. She seems to be a very happy and healthy snake and I am so pleased with her :)

This site is a god send. Thanks everyone
