Hypo? Plasma

Well she was sold as a hypo lavender bloodred, so I would expect the bloodred would make her darker. And those pics are still a little darker then when you look at her in person. They said they were certain she is a hypo plasma, but then again they weren't the ones that bred her.

Your new snake is beautiful. Unfortunately for you, it is not what you ordered. I would consider that bad business. There is no excuse not to get what you bought.

Maybe you should track down the person who bred her and ask what the parents were?

That would probably be your best bet!

Yeh I just sent an email to see if they can get in contact with the people that sold them to them. They said they got them about a year ago and the one in the ad was just an example of the ones they received. So hopefully I can find out the parents of this girl.

She looks alot like a Granite, hopefully Im wrong but thats what I see. Good Luck with finding out what she is..

With the variability of morphs increasing evermore as different combos and lines are brought together it's a tough call to make...lavender and diffusion alone make for a pretty wide range of darker and lighter snakes, and with a females generally tend to be darker...add hypo and it just makes it more difficult to judge what is...is...

We can speculate, cast expert and novice opinions alike but jmho til you breed it out and prove it to be or not to be you are kind of stuck, unless they offer to take her back and refund your money. As of right now you can't disprove she isn't hypo, opinions and best educated guesses aside...Fwiw she looks like, best guess, a beautiful plasma. Like Susan said she has great diffusion. Good luck with her, Jessica

Thank you :) I agree completely. Fingers crossed. Even if she's not hypo I still have a bloodred stripe het lavender that can breed with we when they're of age.

Maybe they'll refund part of your money? Most of us who give a hoot would do that, or replace it, or give you dibs with a sweet price on something later in the season, even next year. Bred to your bloodred to produce plasma's het stripe would be a little comfort also :)

They did say I could return the animal for a full refund and get a discount on a different purchase, but I think I'll hold onto her. They're still trying to get ahold of the people who sold them to them to get the info on the parents.
