Thought it might be fun to see how many people here keep other reptiles and/or have and (God forbid) have a favourite besides snakes.
I don't have any others at the moment but my hands down favorite has to be Iguana. The one I had cracked me up a couple of times. We fed it a special iguana diet but let it out to roam as it pleased. We had 3 cats and this little nutcase used to love raiding their food dish. One day I had a bag of cat food leaning up against the bar.It had a little circle on the front of the bag with a photograph of the cat food that was inside. This lizard was pecking at that circle trying to get that cat food.
Another time she found a fluorescent pink feather in the hallway (daughter was young at the time). I spotted it hanging out the side of her mouth. I reached down to take it away. Never before and never after have I seen that lizard move so fast. She wanted that feather and knew immediately that I did too.
I have thought about getting another one but they are messy and require constant cage cleaning-but they are cool pets.
