Show off your tattoos and what they mean to you.

Unfortunately taking a picture of my tattoo is a bit difficult - trying to get my pasty white skin (it's on hip so doesn't see much sun) to not reflect all the light & show off the stretch marks is asking too much - but it's a spider (not realistic looking) as that's as close as I ever want to get to those creatures :S

I'm planning my next one for once I've finished my eng. lit degree. As it's a part time course I have 5+ years yet to get it right & save all the money!

Tattoo

This is my latest addition, added the dog tags for my brother who passed away this year to my St Michael.
I have another but it is very faded and I will definitely do something with it, I have always loved turtles and was thinking a beautiful Hawksbill or Ridley Sea Turtle. Harder choice after discovering Corns- there are some beauties which would make a great tattoo.

I'll have to post mine when I get home I think. I have a lion's head on my shoulderblade. Done freehand and in only about an hour and a half, no breaks. My artist says she wishes all newbies to tattoos could sit so well! The lion represents my father and that side of the family in general. He's a stereotypical Leo and the lion is the centerpiece of my family crest. I'm in the process of designing a calf piece for next year.

You should see what I can do with a set of sharp knitting needles, a Sharpie and a bottle of model paint.

You should see my prison tattoo kits. I sell them on eBay an Etsy! They come gift wrapped (an extra $3 or $5 if you want an extra special hand designed card by Martha Stewart) and only black ink 'cause that's the only colors you can get from used cigarette ashes. I also include a piece of Saran wrap, and you have to provide the lube for aftercare. I ship, but if I have to deliver it is extra because I may get stopped in a WalMart parking lot and get anal searched.

JK!!!

Check out this girl, though, she does all the doodles on her leg, usually in class, and you KNOW she will be a hot commodity in the tattoo world!

My tattoo is tiny and not full of any really deep meaning x) But that's okay! I LOVE when people come up with beautiful designs that also are symbolic and meaningful, but it's also one of my big pet peeves when people get mad at me for not having deep/emotional meaning behind my body mods. Sometimes tattoos are just art, and your skin is a canvas. I don't see anything wrong with getting something that you "just think looks cool" or something that "you really want" as long as you put a lot of thought into it!

My entire life I have LOVED herps! And when I was in 4th grade I was in an afterschool program where one of the adult counselors had a tiny gecko tattooed on her toe. I was obsessed with that tattoo and vowed to one day get a gecko tattoo on my foot as well lol.

So when I was a senior in high school I went to Phoenix for the International Science and Engineering Fair (I know, super nerd) and there were lizards everywhere. Literally statues, and paintings, and outlines of lizards on EVERYTHING. So I decided there was probably no better place to get a lizard tattoo! I called my dad, informed my slightly anxious teacher, and called up a clean-looking friendly tattoo shop. I told the artist what I wanted, she drew it up....

And that is where my little foot gecko was born.

OMG, I Love this ! I have always said the same thing, why cant you get a tattoo just because you like it, why does everything have to be so deep.
