Hiyas, got a couple of snakes yesterday. First off they were in the same enclosure which I do know is a big ole no no. Well now that I have them they will be seperated. They are suppose to be a pair. They are in the same enclosure at the moment but that will change today, I didn't know I would be coming home with a snake let alone 2 lol. Both are extremly friendly, I just love them they are sooooo calm.

Anyway I will act as though the female is gravid. I have no idea if she is or not but I will be prepared. I have been reading up since last night how to prepare her home for her egg laying. I really don't care if the eggs survive as I won't be hatching them. May be cruel but I know what I can care for and a bunch of baby snakes are not for me :) They may have been a breeding pair but they will be pets from here on out.

So on to the photos. I know the one is amel but not to sure on the other one. So if you could help me out and let me know what you think I would appreciate it :) I like them both, but for some reason the dark one keeps popping out to me...I absolutly LOVE the color of it!!

I haven't picked names for them as of yet but here is the amel:

Don't mind the specks on the snake it isn't on it but the glass itself from the bedding lol.

The dark one, Anrey perhaps?:

Love the yellow belly markers on the first one, and the very last pic of the grey one smiling at the camera is cute.

Thank you all :) I am happy with them.

As for age I really don't know, I got them from a friend of mine that has a pet store. Some one brought them in.

So the anery can have those reddish colors on them? That's what was throwing me off. I googled my little heart out trying to figure it out rotfl. Thanks for the info :)

It amazes me how much photos take away from the snake. I've seen the anerys before on the forum here. Thinking bleh I guess they are ok, same with the butter corns. Then I saw both in person and they are beautiful!! From now on I shall not rely on photos rotfl.

As Anerys age they can turn a whole lot of different colors. Brown and peachy pinks (for Ghosts) are not uncommon. Motley adds a bit of a Hypo effect to snakes, so I think that everyone's guesses are spot on.

I think you have a very unique looking Anery Motley, but that's all I would guess. The lightening of the head is also something that is pretty common with age.

CONGRATS on your two new additions. Good job on separating them and making the decision not to incubate any unplanned eggs. That is very responsible! Looks like they are definitely in good hands.

Thank you for the detail about the colors that can pop up on them. I had no idea :)

Doesn't really matter what they are, at least to me. I love all the colors of these guys. I just like learning about what I have. Well as far as the morphs go.

The amels aren't on the top of my list for color. But it's the whole package. And this little amel is a sweet heart! So is the other for that matter. I like em :D.

Congrats on the new additions... So what's the story here? You said you weren't expecting to bring home any snake..

That anery is attention getting -< neat peachy patches.>
They both 'look' pretty big - young adults?

I wonder what the person was trying to breed? I could see Snows and Amels and Anerys if they had compatible hets, But if there's no hets, the babies would be classics.

I'm at work now and can see them fine!?! Very nice snakes BTW! Maybe those pics are fist fighting with my iMac. Who knows anymore ... crazy computers.
Note: Now I'm home from work and checked here again ... the pics are back! No, I don't think I'm going nuts (not completely anyway!) so I seriously think I have some computer snake ghosts!

They might have poofed because of some maintenance or temporary move.

Anyhoo, now that we can see them again, couple of nice pickups. The anery is especially interesting, with those peachy bits. :) Very cool.
