Meet "Rufus"

Beautiful pictures. Rufus totally loves you and is such a handsome boy. I've got two girl snakes all a flutter here over the Rufus pics, again! ;)
 
no, not new. That's one of his old Logs. He has 2 of them. He has a "Cave" on the warm end, and his logs are on the cool end. He was hanging out on the cool side today, and when I came home from work he stuck his head out.

Today (Sunday morning) is feeding day for Rufus.

I won't be able to play with him for 2 or 3 days after, so I always take a few minutes to interact with him prior to feeding. In the first 2 pics, he just thinks it's "Play Time" and we are doing what we normally do.

In the 3rd pic I place him in the Feeding Container, and immediately "He Knows he's about to eat" and he starts hunting.

Lol, I really do think they view us that way. Cleo gets that same look hanging out of her hide. They definitely learn the feeding routine.

Rufus looks as handsome as ever, btw.
 
Rufus is approaching 2 years of age (next month). He's currently about 42 inches long, weighs about 323 grams, eats a large mouse every Sunday Morning and I think he might be a bit of a Perv. He tried to mate with my arm this morning.

The Silly Goofball now weighs 343 Grams

I was giving Rufus fresh water a few minutes ago and he decided he wanted to come out and play. He crawled onto my arm while I was filling his water bowl.

So I took the opportunity to take a new picture and to weigh him.

He weighs in today at 343 grams.

And the silly goofball thinks he's hiding because he's the same color as the table he's resting on.

Looks like Rufus is doing great! You're right, he's the same color. I couldn't find him at first ... and I thought your table top looked a little wavy ... that's when I saw a snake on top! :)
 
Lol, Rufus is the stealth snake. Looking great, Karl! Cleo is just 208 g so she has a long way to go to catch up with your big boy.
 
Great thread! Just curious where you aquired him from? Also, would love to see more pics of the current housing he stays in. I'm fresh in the market to buy a corn snake with my 7 year old and hoping I can find a little guy to raise up with as wonderful an attitude and as friendly as your Rufus is!
