Update on my rescue...

It's Jager time!
Mr Sthnaily - The Soul Stealer! (I found him at a train station about 6/7 weeks ago and took him home so he wouldn't get crushed)

Hes fabulous, he makes me so happy when I am up at 4am (like now) and hes just wondering around on the roof of his housie.

He got a special christmas fruit salad today and munched the whole lot!

Wee bit of a shell problem (I think - unless hes just dirty)... he doesn't seem to be nibbling his cuttlefishie enough.

I LOVE how the only thing in focus is his eyeball!

I never imagined rescuing a snail...wow. How big is he? The final photo is so vivid with color -- lovely. Certainly makes a snail look much more attractive! :)

Hes gotten huge in the last month... it's been like all you can eat!

His shell is about an inch in diameter... big for a common garden snail.

I had to take him, I couldn't stand the thought of some mindless idiot crushing the poor wee thing :( So we were on the train together, and he came out his shell and was crawling all over me and the conductor came along and gave me a mad look then walked away. He saved me £3.50 on train fare that day!

Maybe I should rename him Karma... I always wanted to name an animal that because I truley believe what goes around comes around AND everything happens for a reason. And it's just a nice word...

Perhaps it's a bit too cliche to name him that though?

Someone else who loves the shellies! I love it! I need to post pics of Turbo my racing snail soon.

The little guy is adorable!

I didn't know you still have him! I've got a rescue spider who fell in my bath, but haven't got any good pics of Captain Beany yet. He has a smalll mealworm every couple of days and has made a nice web in his container:)

Captain Beany - ok explain that one missus?! :p

You guys and your cute rescues. All I get is Muskmares... Looking great, Elle! Aren't snails wonderful?

He was curled up like a little bean when I rescued him. He was lucky I was in the bath and caught him up on my foot to save him from a watery grave, he'd been living in the air vents and coming out to drink condensation, especially when I had a shower. I was watching him wandering about when he fell in the bath with me. I thought he'd been boiled alive but he recovered ok.:) I'll let him go when the Spring is sprung!

No wai... I couldn't cope with spidies invading my space. I would freak out, and scream, and Mr Beany would have probably been squished by now :(

Read the whole thing, to where I ID her!

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

I'd forgotten her! Now I'd absolutely love to find a creature like that, except the squirting musk thing!

I probably would have freaked if it had been a spider I didn't know! We seem to get a big house spider living in the vent every winter, and if they hang around they get silly names:)
