My spidie collection...

Can't believe I'd missed this thread:dunce: Great pics of course, but even better is the running commentary of what's happening in the spidies' world :)

I tell you what Janine, that book you gave me has been a life saver! I have read it cover to cover twice now (including all the borning bits) and I think I have a good grasp on basic anatomy and care of T's. It's soo amazing, and you are so amazing for giving it to me :)

My little T world is so much more exciting than the snakie world. I rehoused the chromatus into a deeper burrowing vile and I can see it at the bottom of 2 inches of substrate already LOL

One of my avics moulted! whoo hooo... spidielings are always so busy doing stuff :) Look at the wee pink toes!

The fasciatum male is doing well after the rupture. Hes super speedy and webbing all over the place. A few more days and I will try him with a few crix.

I have new spidies coming because I managed to rehome the fasciatum! Guess the species folks ;) (or at least the genus lol)

Elle all of them look wonderful!
I'm so jealous! LOL
I'm so excited to get at least one T soon :D
Its really wierd I went from being broke, to having $140 so some T shopping in deffitnally in my future. :] *crosses fingers for a G. Pulchra sling* lol!

To give the slings water do you just mist a corner of its enclosure? I read that somewhere but havent read anything else to confirm it.

I don't give the slings waterbowls, I just mist the avics every day and the others very lightly every other day. I would be so jealous if you got pulchra - those are the most beautiful big black velvety spidies in the world!

Forgot to post these here last night. Supernova bring a total Diva, checking herself out! (I love this spider soooooo much)

Who can blame her for checking herself out in the mirrior? Hell, if I were her I would!

I love the look of pulchras and hopefully I can find a sling for sale at the expo I'm attending, if I do I'm going to JUMP on it! If I cant then I'll probably get a red rosea sling.
either way I'm still going to get a female aureo. :)

Well done Little Glitter Bumfluff... Unfortunatley I have spotted some mites that have already migrated to her... I can't take the moult away just yet as shes lying on it. Arggg In go the predator mites once shes hardened up. Thank goodness there are only one or two that I can spot. Shes going into a fresh bone dry tub tonight incase there are any eggs in the old substrate.

Amazing moult pictures! Does your camera take video as well? Not sure if that's just a point and shoot digital camera thing or not. It'd be amazing to watch a Tarantula moult at such high quality!

Hrm, as for the guessing game the second T looks kind of like a Versicolor.. a bad picture of one at least. As for the first one my best guess is Grammostola pulchra, "Brazillian Black".

Unfortunatley SLRs are not capable of shooting video.

You are wrong on both guesses ;) They are both from the same genus though - that might help. And non arboreal.

What awsome pictures of her molt!!
Love the look of white fangs for some reason, lol!

I hope the mites will go away before they become a real problem.

Tula_Montage you have influanced me. Not sure if your a good or bad influance yet..lol.. but I almost did it. I almost got a rose hair T today. I decided not to, but it looks like in the future I will prolly be getting a T.

As for the guesses...
the first one is a bigous harrious (big harry)

and the second is a green bottle blue??
