Poofy-Headed Snake-Addict
Well I was asked to post pics of my newest scaly critter, the overweight amel/RO I got because my friend no longer wanted him. Soooo, here he is.

first couple pics taken before I got him, at my friend's house.

I dont know if you can see it, but his belly scales are all wrinkly and gross too. even worse than the rest of him.

he's sweet and tame as can be, and even the daycare moms like him. I just need to get his weight down some... a lot....

thanks for looking^^

That's a big guy, all right! I've seen way fatter snakes, though. Time to put him on the Stairmaster!

yeah, I've seen fatter, like the one being adopted by iguanagirl. that poor thing is way more obese than Chester, but Chester isnt exacty dainty either. :p

now to go buy a stairmaster...

He looks big too, on top of just being chubby.. Is he or are the photos deceiving? I agree with everyone, you'll have him in shape soon! I'd probably put him on a diet of one large mouse every two weeks.

he's just over 4ft, not sure what he is exactly, but he's over 800 grams too... his head is bigger than Bella's though and he's longer, so I guess he's a little bigger in general, besides being fat.

jeez, he needs help! beautiful snake though - he deserves someone like you to get him back in shape!

Yea the snake I'm getting is definitely a fatty. Chester is a goregous corn I'm glad to see he is with someone who cares about him now.

Aww, Katie, you're the bestest for taking in this poor guy! He's not nearly as bad as I'd imagined though. Although, once you see Iguanagirl's rescue, NOTHING is going to look that fat! *whew, now THAT'S a fat snake!*
I agree with Nanci, put him on the stairs and give him some exercise. Let him swim, too. I can't wait to see how his weight loss goes. He can be the Jenny Craig poster model of cs.com!

oh' but he is a cute little lard-o!...
good luck with him..Post some pics when you get his weight down..sure it won't take long....

I think he would look great if he lost 300 grams :) Just feed him a very small prey item every 2 weeks and you will be fine.

yeah, after seeing that poor thing, he doesnt look quite so fat. lol if he gets to be poster model, she might take him back! :poke:

I was going to give him one adult mouse every two weeks, since I already have a 50-pack of those. should I use something smaller?

OMGosh, I'd NEVER give that snake back to her! I'll drive up there and steal her first!! (The snake, not your friend. I'll gladly come up there and kick her to the curb for you, tho. ;) )

lol I dont intend to give him back! :p she's already having enough problems with her newest ball python, she doesnt WANT another snake to deal with, not that I would give him back anyway.

There are so many things I'd like to say about your friend, but since I'm likely to meet her in a mere two weeks, I'm practicing biting my tongue. I promise I'll be the epitome of friendliness when I meet her, although if I squeeze your hand REALLY REALLY hard, you'll know it's killing me. ;)

lol I'll keep that in mind. :D she doesnt even know anyone intends to kill her!

actually, we might not even be going to the expo anymore... her dad forgot and might not be taking us now, my dad will be out of the country, and I dont dare drive to Indy on my own. :eek1:

Aww, you're not coming? This makes me very sad. I was so hoping to get to meet you. I hope it's not the threat of bodily injury to your friend that's keeping you away? I promise to be on my bestest behavior!!
