What kind of thermomstat do you use?

Hello, I am looking to get new thermomstats. I would like one I can plug multiple heat pads into if possible. I've looked at a couple but I don't know which ones are best, could you tell me what you use or what you think is best? Thanks for any info, it's a great help.

If you're running identical heat pads in an identical set up, then you can get one t-stat and just plug them into a power strip and plug that into the thermostat. If you're looking for one that will run different heating sources for different set ups then the Herpstat Pro can't be beat. I have one and it can run 4 heating elements independently. I have one for the corn racks, one for the bp racks, one for bp incubator, and one for corn incubator all off one unit.

It's pricey, but more than worth it.

I use the Herpstat ND. I don't use the night drop function, but I like the high/low alarms, which are a step up from the basic Herpstat.

Most stats allow you to plug two or three mats into them, but they need to be very similar. And you can't exceed the total wattage the stat is rated for. Probably not a problem unless you are running multiple racks from it.

I use the Ranco ETC-111000. It was only $52 and its worked great for me. it was recommended to me by cornsnake.com folks

Thanks for the help everyone. The heat pads my adult corns are all the same type and the babies all have the same ones but smaller.

Then you will either need two thermostats to run the different sizes, or something like the Herpstat Pro that can run them independently. Because they're different sizes, you can't use one t-stat for all of them.

I figured that much, thanks. I'm going to check them out and see what I'd like to do.
