I've decided on starting a progression thread :) So I'll start it off with pictures from today!

I checked on her earlier today and found her like this:

She was playing around in the dirt and she'd pushed some dirt into her water bowl!

I picked her up for a second shortly after finding her like that, and after I put her down, she immediately burrowed in the dirt and peeked at me like this:

Tonight was feeding night! I decided that I'd give her an extra treat since the pinks were unusually small.. Both the pinkies were under 1.45 grams and she's 10.20 grams....I'm following the Munson Plan and it said 2-3 grams for snakes 4-15 grams (if i'm not mistaken...) She happily ate them both! She butt-munched the second one though :laugh:

August is a very attractive little girl! Looks like she has such a quirky personality in those shots :)
 
Time for an update! Quite an update, I must add. New tank set up and new feeding changes. Let's take a look, shall we?

I'd gone away for a week to New York and upon return, I'd noticed that there was some kind of mould growing on the previous wooden log hides I had in the tank. I'm guessing it was from all the moisture and humidity... So today, I cleaned the tank all out, with a water and bleach solution and re-did everything. I even went out and bought new hides that I'm sure I won't have any problems with, and I even switched to aspen instead of Plantation Soil.

Here it is!

My initiative for going out today was to buy some pinkie mice to feed her because she'd been a day overdue for some food! Though the new reptile store I went to for the first time only sold live, and no pinkie mice, so they gave me pinkie naval rats. No biggie.

August seemed to like them! Although she was scared of them at first, being used to already dead food, but as soon as she heard one squeek, she was all over them and constricting like no tomorrow!

I put her into her newly renovated home and she immediately went for a drink. I guess downing two lively pinkies was hard work!

nevermind, I was thinking of the wrong stuff....sorry.Your snake is beautiful though, I remember when mine was that small, now she's close to 3 feet.
 
Just a few feeding shots

Today was August's fourth feeding with me. I only took a couple photos before I decided I'd let her eat in peace...after witnessing her badass rattlesnake tail impression...she's got some spunk!

After her previous feeding of live mice, I guess she thought these were live too, because she did some unnecessary constricting :D
