Hey I am hoping to move to Florida by September 2009. And I need help figuring out what the Barns in Florida charge for board? Mostly ruff board. I like to take care of my horses myself. I will be moving to the Daytona area. So the surrounding areas are what I need info on. Tried the internet but could not find a helpful Florida horse site. I have 2 Breeding Stock Paint mares.
Thanks for any help in this matter.

I see ads all the time for boarding over here, near Ft. Myers, on CL and in the papers. Seems to go from $125 each for pasture board to $400 and up for full stall board. Of course, if you had your own 10 acres, you wouldn't NEED it, lol!

Thanks so much Kathy! But any bank would laugh at me with my current credit.
Thanks for giving me a scale to go buy too for board for my girls. ;)

I don't know how similar the east coast is. The S.E. coast is generally more expensive than here. But up by Daytona is further north, and might or might not be more than here - not really sure. I only go there for the Expo.

I think you said you want to go there because you have a friend or relative there? Do you already have a job there? I can't remember what you said you do.

The Tampa to Ft. Myers area has a lot more herpers in our areas. And we have a great herp society here that can always use new members. We even have a couple of reptile businesses in the area that are looking for part time help now. I sure would love to get more herpers in our area!
