snakes and legos

Your parents sound just like me right about now! The kids have a huge BUCKET full of those teensy tiny legos and just LOVE to leave them on the floor in the dark so I can impale my feet every night. I may now have a use for them other than flinging them at the kids whenever I step on one!

LOL Oh I remember those days...
Well a nice quick little boil would do the trick though, a nice little bath with some light bleach would also suffice.

i did use lego hides until last year my brother and i decided to sell them all. and i put them back in after a lysol bath. we got 1000 bucks off craigslist for them. we had 5 5 gallon buckets full of them and all the books that came with the kits to for making special things. i think the selling point was a lot were star wars and other movie associated ones. and i didnt have to buy any of them. they were all hand me downs to me being the youngest. a good way to make some money i guess.

LOL. I haven't tried a blow dryer, but I figured in our 100+ degree heat and 2% humidity here in Mesa, AZ, they'd dry out pretty good.

I was WRONG. Even separated out real good on a dry towel in the sun for 2 days, I still felt water on some of them when I put them back together. LOL.

try putting them in rice.. i have done that a couple times to save my phone from the destruction of water. just leave them comletely surrounded and covered with rice for a day or two and that should dry it out.

That's a kewl idea! Being Filipino, I eat LOTS of rice (and it shows). We put a few grains of rice in our salt shakers to keep the salt from "sticking" to the moist holes... I'm gonna have to try this.

BUT, my kids will probably hate you for giving me this idea! :dgrin:

At the moment, I dont have a camera that isnt my phone, and I dont have the correct cable for my phone to connect to the usb port. However, my gf does have a camera, and I am getting said correct cable tomorrow if the sprint store has one. I will try (no promises) to get pics tomorrow.

Thanks PJ for Willow, I cant wait til she arrives! Willow is in my avatar for those who want a visual

I will admit that Iam the person buying such things...though I've never bought a $1000 lot...most I've spent is about half that.

but yeah, buy/sell legos is a lucrative hobby...and in my case, collecting is expensive :)

IMO if your going to do a lego hide, why not go all out? make it a castle or som'thing...

Thats an awesome idea, I need more legos to do that though. I used most of what I had

Naw man, I got plenty to share... My lego snake hides would look like this...

So here is what I have decided Im going to do. I will have three snakes and I have three Marines with nothing better to do. I'll put them to work making my snakes something they will enjoy.
