Thanks for looking! There are many more to come!

In the top picture she is 5 not 7. The second one is from a few days ago but with my cell phone so its a carppy pic. I need to get some new up dated photos. The pictures of Scarlett (my gf's corn) are from about 2 weeks ago.

No I use coconut husk. I've been using it for years and it works great. It can be used in moist or dry environments and makes clean up a piece of cake.

OOOOOHhhhh!!! I love the Taiwan Beauty!!! The corn too, but I'm really biased toward the beauty! :)

For my VBB, I'm using a mixture of coconut husk and mulch. Keeps humidity higher than Aspen and actually looks great with these kinds of snakes. I like aspen for my corns, though.

I see now that in that pic it does kind of look like sand. But no i used my crappy cell phone camera to take that picture .

Yeah I use cypress/spagnum/cocnut husk mix for my Taiwan. He loves it. He is in a huge sterilite and usually I have to wear some wussie gloves when I feed him.

For a while I was amazed Sheldon didn't need gloves the way she'd hunt his hand every time he opened her tank. The one and only time she bit me was almost a week after feeding! Generally she's very docile, but she definitely lets us know when she's not in the mood to be out and about.

She is in love with my hair, though.

Scarlett, on the other hand, is far more interested in laying along the edge of her tank than anywhere on me.

LOL. My snakes tend to try to go to my "hairy armpits" but I always STEER them away. LOL.

I'm interested... when the snake is like that around "Maligator's neck" (I forgot her first name for some reason - SORRY!) does that not "scare" you a little? I know it couldn't possibly HURT her, but I WON'T let them wrap around MY neck! :)

It's Katie - and she's not actually around my neck; she's more around the back of my neck and then coiled back to poke her face through my hair. It looks deceptively brave of me in the picture though, doesn't it? :D

However, just a few days ago when I picked her up to drape across my shoulders she must have felt like she was falling because she coiled around my neck fairly quickly (and pretty tightly too!) I managed not to panic and just uncoiled her and she went back to finding and hiding in my hair.

LOL. Wow.... I thought she WAS coiled around, Katie! And if Kokoro did that to me, I think I WOULD panic! LOL.

As mentioned before... GREAT looking snake you two!

It's getting easier the more I handle her to not worry so much that she's going to do severe damage. To think - just eight or nine months ago, I told Sheldon he "had better keep that snake in the tank" or I was history! I've been completely converted :)

Fred, do you notice any little habits Kokoro does when being handled? It's always interesting to hear what other snakes do with their people.

Kokoro LOVES to look me right in the eye... You know... she puts her face right where she can see me and I can see her (while holding her) kinda letting me know that she could GET me if she wanted. My arm is always somewhere between her head and my face, but that - sometimes - is of little comfort. :):nope::nope:

Oh, I know what you mean! I try to move very calmly when she's on me, just in case she decides to let me know in a physical manner that, despite her sweet disposition, she CAN inflict a little damage. The Doctor makes me nervous sometimes when she'll suddenly freeze uncomfortable close to my face or one of my hands.

Scarlett got nippy for the first time last night when I fed her second f/t pinky of the night. And by nippy, I mean just sort of threw herself at my empty hand and bit. I think I'm going to have a sassy little thing on my hands soon enough. :D

I can't wait for Scarlett to mature and become a sub adult. I'm really intrigued in what kind of snake she'll grow up to be. Chill and laid back or a sassy little you know what.
