One more hateling

Lynnea

That's "lin-NAY-ah"
This is Ivy, a normal motley. She's always been feisty and doesn't seem to be growing out of it. I love her anyway!

Well at least she's a pretty hateling!

We just got our first really nasty corn. We've only had him three weeks now - but I'm just getting the impression that his striking at me and tail rattling isn't going to go away with careful attention and age. I think that may just be his demeanor. =] It's cute when they're as small as my little guy but I can imagine them causing some pain later on!

I have some that were that way as babies but after a LONG time realizing that they weren't going to be eaten, they calmed down, some surprisingly so. Most actually seem to. If they strike, I just ignore it.

I'm hoping! He is pretty tiny, yet - so I'm hoping it will pass in the next year or two.

How old is Ivy?

I find they calm down a lot more once they're out of their tanks and into your hands. Boo goes S-shape and darts away if I don't scoop him right up when handling, but once in my hands and away from his tank, he's a calm boy... if I don't let him near the ground. He tries to dart out of my hands if I get too close to the ground, but once he gets bigger he won't be able to fit under most of his potential hiding places.

Trent took the words right out of my mouth (I was literally just about to type the same thing), so I'll have to find new ones....STUNNING!!! I love the attitude.

Beautiful snake, and you can just see the attitude in his face... LOL. :D

Btw, is "hateling" a real term or just a typo? I'm still new to corns, so not sure if I'm missing something.

Hateling is just a word we use for angry, or mad, hatchlings who want to eat you. Its not in the dictionary, its just one of those "fun" words! :)

She's gorgeous!! I think "hateling" started out as a typo, but it really fits some babies!

Gorgeous colors! Gotta love those hatelings. My fire is just like that. I can't say "good morning" or "I love you" without her ready to go for the jugular!
