From the start this snake was redder than any siblings. I knew I would be holding on to her. I named this one Red Sonja, I can't wait to see what she looks like as she gets bigger. She is Huddleston X Serpenco as far as lineage goes.
I took the first picture in Sept and the others are from today.

She's so cool. Do you think she is just cinder, or is there something else involved??? I wonder why some are red and some are not so red. She has very pretty markings, too.

I have a suspicion about that too. I have a couple that are so red and then a couple that are just grey, it's hard to believe both types are simply cinder.

She seems really light too, I wonder if she's actually a Hypo Cinder? Or perhaps the flash is just lightening her up a bit.

Either way, shes GORGEOUS! Can't wait to see more updates on this beauty.

Here is an update.. I took these pics of her and then I took pics of my hypo cinders which I will post on their thread- and they really do look a lot alike. She really looked nothing like the hypo cinders at hatching time, though.

The reason why I don't think she is a hypo cinder but probably just the Miami influence-
I was able to find the thread I posted last year when this baby and her clutchmates were all pipping. I wish I had taken a photo of each individual cinder baby, but there are plenty of pics of the clutch and nothing looked hypo.

Hrmm.. well, it looks like she has something else going on in the mix. Perhaps she's just on one far end of the spectrum for color! Whatever she is, she's beautiful! Now that it's spring term, perhaps we'll have a better chance to do some campus photo shoots!

Thanks for the update, I'll look forward to seeing pictures of the Hypo Cinders as well!
