Hello!
I'm new to snakes and new to the forum, we just got our first lavender about a month ago. I have been doing pretty good keeping it down to one for now (despite the intense desire to buy about 10 immediately following bringing the first one home), I'm going to end up being the crazy snake lady.

We named our snake Snakey (so creative I know :p) and you will be seeing pics of him (?) soon.

I have about a million questions but this isn't the spot for them so I'll see you guys in other threads!

Oooh, so are you going to the reptile show in Orlando in July? I hope to make it there. There is a large group of cs.com members in Florida, and we get together and do things like go to shows, visit Reptile World and Gatorland and the St. Augustine Alligator Farm, things like that. We always announce things like that in General Chit Chat.

Which reminds me- often, at reptile shows here, they have a vet who will do fecals for cheap. (But then you still have to have your own vet prescribe drugs, so...)

Here's the link to the July show in Orlando, which will offer venomous snakes for sale!

I saw a postcard advertisement for the last time repticon was in town, but I had family in town the weekend it was here. I'll definitely look it up in general chat, it sounds really fun. :)

Welcome to the forum! Your so lucky you live in Florida! There are always the best reptile shows over there. Nobody lives in Arkansas :/ therefore no reptile shows over here. But anyways, hope this forum helps you tons!

Hi there and welcome to the forum :D Corns are incredibly addicting, I went from 2 at Christmas time to 11 in March. I have been resisting getting anymore because my boyfriend wont have them in anything but tanks, which take up quite a bit of room. Anyway can't wait to see pics :D

Welcome--I'm like you, just got a lavender and am trying to keep it to one! (I also really like squirrels ;) ) Can't wait for pics!

Welcome! I'm pretty new myself, & I gave into my urge to get more. LOL
I love lavenders! I hope to get one someday.

Welcome to the forum! I live in Avon Park, only a little over an hour from Orlando. Its always great to get new members here in FL! We have so much fun! You should come to the Daytona show in August!
