It's looking like round two of pippies is starting. I have been waiting for this clutch for a few years now, BUT...............

I am not completely confused!

If you happen to know what these are, let me know.

I am not telling you what the parents are right now, as not to put any ideas in your head. I want to know what you think they are. I will take more as they come out of the eggs.

Thank you, have fun!
PJ

Ultra for sure, but not lav or opal? I see no diffusion- maybe ultra sunkissed without the funky sunkissed pattern?

I just do not understand....

This is what the first one out looked like in its egg.

There's a chance the one is actually an ultramel. Some times it's hard to tell an ultra from an ultramel.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess parents were maybe snow and ultramel?

How does this one sound to you ultra/ultramel guessers...

NO ULTRA/ULTRAMEL involved.

I am going to check them soon and take a few more pictures. You guys/gals are not going to believe it. We might be reworking the female's hets or her herself....:crazy02:

I am going to check the dad's lineage on the ACR...need to chase one gene with him. And then I have to tell Brent, lol.

Here is the other non amelish one in its egg last night, with and without flash.

Lava?? Is there lava in that mix somewhere?
The colors are so rich....

I don't see the sunkissed pattern on the head, and hypo is great but wouldn't be getting all this hoop-la....so my guess is lava!

Well, this morning's check was a sad one for me. First off this clutch did not produce what I was hoping or thought I should have gotten. I found the two snakelets to DOA in the egg.

So we had 9 eggs, 1 slug to start with, 4 were infertile, leaving me with 5good eggs. One of the DOAs was a lighter verison the "amel" that you have seen. The other DOA was, well...you take a look.

Not the best lighting, but this lil one was whitish, pinkish, peachy in color. I am not sure why this one didnt pip or hatch but that is life and I have to smile and move forward.

Ok, now that you have "SEEN" the momma, she was sold to us a "normal" het hypo lavender. We have raised her as a "hypo" from day one. She is not a normal in our book.

This is dad as he was registered with ACR and no amel that I can see.

So with that being stated, what the hell happened with this clutch??? :shrugs:

Hey Brent, your Hypo Lavender male is het amel!!
