Man, this was killing us! This is the only planned clutch of the season (though I think mom is double-clutching on her own this minute) and it seemed like it was taking forever. I realize that 70 days is not that much, it's just that 70 days is longer than any other clutch I've hatched (which is in the single digits, but still, you develop expectations). So far this is the only pippie and it's a normal. Mom first--as she did all the serious work--then dad, and then the first pippie.

Ohh I love that last pic!! He/she is adorable. Well it looks like a nice clutch to be the only one planned for the year. And the mommy is gorgeous!!

Man I was soooo impatient for mine to start and now they are coming out left and right. I think we've hatched (including kings and ball pythons) around 80 and still have more to go, but they are all coming at once. Lots of hungry lil mouths to feed! But I love it!!!!
 
Cool little babies, we've only hatched out four, but we have about 17 coming. I love the color on their dad, you're gonna have some cool snakes.

Well maybe I was wrong about all 4 being normals. They're all normal color, for sure, but maybe not for pattern (which is my hope) . . . I'm so terrible at telling morphs until they're out of the egg. This is the one from the video of movement in the egg. I do love the wondering while they're pipping!

Youtube hatchling showed me the belly I wanted to see! :D

They look like bloods to me!!! As soon as I saw all the grey speckles on that first pip's head I had a little suspicion.. and after seeing a few more heads and the bellies, my vote is definitely bloodred!

I just looked back at a previous thread of yours and confirmed the dad is Scout. Was he suspected to be het for blood? Nice, so these babies will be Bloodreds het for Hypo and Anery. NICE!!
 
Yep. Scout has long been suspected to be het blood, and that is apparently the case. So far I have 2/6 bloods because I've been able to see their bellies, and they have the tell-tale head pattern. I'd been planning to hold back 1.1 of these regardless, but I'm pleased that I'll be able to hold back bloods instead of normals. I love 'em. :dancer:
