Till next time, :dancer:

Nice pictures! It sure is different acting than all the ones on our property. They are fun to watch hunting lizards around the house, but are gone as soon as they see you. I haven't seen to many that large.

Wow! I can't believe he sat still for you. I tried to catch one here once, but it was pretty fast. When I finally got it cornered under a bush he kept striking so much I finally gave up lol.

I cant believe you caught him and he let you take pictures! Every picture I attempt to take of one its a blur lol.

Wish I had a camera at the time. Me and my mom were getting ready to leave and there was a huge black racer in our yard. I believe it was a she and she looked very gravid or full of food! Maybe that is the reason she didn't zip away but just sat there real still. She also had a couple of white marks across her back which I suppose were scars. She must have been a good age.

It's cool that one let you hold it and everything. The ones I've ever tried to catch have been a bit aggressive.

I have had the pleasure of catching one of those buggers when I was in high school. The little guy bit me on both hands before I could finally catch him/her.
