First hatchlings of the season! (pastel x spider bp)

Blue Apple Herps

aka Matthew, PhD
Was on vacation this past week and came home to these little guys hatched out. Was from a pastel x spider clutch. I was really REALLY hoping for a bee (I've wanted one ever since I first saw one many years ago) and this was my chance to finally produce one. But, alas, the odds were not with me.

I'm still happy I got 5 healthy babies - but none will be holdbacks. They'll all be sold off.

Finaly tally:
  • 2.1 Pastels
  • 0.1 Spider
  • 1.0 Normal

I love the look of spiders...might get one sometime in my life when I have more money since they tend to be pricey...just out of curiosity how much will you be asking for yours?

These are SO CUTE! Where will you sell them?

Thanks! Once they're established and feeding, I'll have ads up in the usual places: here, bp.net, fauna, & KS

I'll be asking $200 for her - that seems to be the market value right now.

They look great! Love that spider especially!

She can be yours! ;) :dancer:

If I had the set up and money, I'd snatch up that spider. I absolutely adore that morph and the various morphs that incorporate it.

$200 is not much for a BP morph from what I can tell. Dunno if I will get another BP given that Marbles scared me silly with his long break from eating, but they are SO expletive-deleted cute as hatchlings.

That's not bad for a morph. Normals can be picked up for $35 or so at shows. Females tend to run a bit more.

Thanks for the additional comments.

And many of the bp morphs, especially co-doms are rapidly dropping in price. Pastels, spiders, yellow bellies, mojaves, cinnamon/black pastels are all in the sub $250 range. That's a lot less compared to several years ago when they were easily 3-4x's that.
