Maasai - African House Snake

RobbiesCornField

Bring it on.
She's such a pretty lady. And she just shed to look her best for all of you! I swear, she almost looks like she's trying to be a mini-burm. LOL

Thanks for looking!

Nice pics!! I've always enjoyed these snakes, they have a great look to them. Yet another snake on the "must have list".

Thanks! They really are fun little snakes, and they stay a nice, small size, too! A female will only get 3-4 feet long, and males usually only 2 feet. Get a pair! LOL

She really does look like a mini burm (I thought that before I even read what you wrote)! She's so cute Robbie!

She looks great Robbie. Too bad I wasn't able to pick up a House snake in Daytona, there really weren't that many that I saw. Next time...

Great photos...I LOVE house snake!! Don't you have a "Velvet" too? They're actually like the softest things ever! :p

Beautiful snake! I've looked at a few AHS and this is one of the prettiest by far. I love his coloration. I'm also a sucker for snakes with the beautiful white bellys

Robbie... Maasai is WONDERFUL! Of course I love her!

Question... do these as babies have any issues with eating mice? I hadn't heard anything, but want to know. I know they're smaller too, so what would be the BIGGEST mouse they'd eat?

Some could probably eat small pinks as babies, but my little boy needed a pink head for the first several meals until I was comfortable putting him on full pinks.

AHH!... I want one. ;)

Robbie, what temperature gradient do you house yours at? I've found some varying info on the web.

I have been having a major urge for a python-looking snake in a small scale, and I was looking at Children's pythons, but I like these soooo much better.

Would you say they're appropriate for someone with only a few years experience?
