Scout's Progression Thread

Lolo

Surrounded by snakes
Somebody said I had to do a progression thread with Scout, and I didn't even know what that meant - but now I do! :D So here's my boy, who still has a LOT of growing to do... he's a 2009 Aztec Reverse Okeetee, bred by Jeff @ The Turtle Farm.

The day I got him (10/13/09)

I didn't realize how tiny he'd be... need to get a smaller bowl!

Thanks! :) I'm still in shock by how tiny he is, but I'm sure he'll be "huge" before I know it... unfortunately he's not showing interest in the first meal offering, although I had a feeling it was too soon (the breeder suggested I try).

A few more pictures, following (2 days after) his first meal with me... and my first attempt at handling him. He was squirmy but friendly/curious, so I'm sure he will be a sweetie eventually. :)

The only problem with these snap-tite tubs... have to be careful when I open/close it!

Thanks! Here are some more recent photos, including his second meal with me... he's a great eater (f/t pinkies), and seems like a sweetheart too. :)

Some recent pictures, following Scout's first shed with me - a perfect one, nonetheless! :)

He's such a pig...

It's been about a month - and two sheds - since my last posting, so here are some updated shots of Scout. He's growing fast now that I have him on the "Munson Plan" for feeding, and his color has changed a little... looking good, I think. :)

Another month and shed later... he's still small but finally plumping up, especially around the head/neck, and his orange is spreading. :)

Tail is still pretty white... does that mean it will be nearly solid orange?

Scout is over 6 months old & 71g now, and filling out/up nicely! Here are some recent post-shed photos of my boy... oh, and sorry about the last photos being unavailable (I reorganized my photobucket albums).
