Red snakes in nice light

desertanimal

2003 UB313
We so rarely get soft light around here, so when it has rained but is still overcast and I'm at home for it, out I go with the red snakes. Some are a little blurry because the snakes aren't still, but it's so nice to be able to see their colors not amped up by indoor lighting and flash and not washed out by strong sunshine.

Here we have, in order:

A kathylove bloodred
A Serpenco hypo blood
the hypo blood son of the previous two
A LowBellyReptiles Miami

And since the little one just shed, I had to take her for a photoshoot, too.

A phantom from Terri, whose business name I have forgotten.

Awwww. She's blushing. :)

Beautiful photographs, wat a lovely group of RED snakes! And since when did you start putting blusher on your phantom!

Excellent pics! I love how they look in the black bowl. Did you give Col a kiss for me???

Beautiful shots. I agree, best time to take a picture and see the true colors is when it's overcast and the lighting is even.

They're all gorgeous and I think the hypo blood son is going to surpass his parents by the time he reaches maturity.

A little cloud cover is nature's light diffuser :). Your snakes are beautiful! The last hypo blood is bright.

That phantom is too cute. I love how blue her eyes are.

I know! Isn't that the cutest little purple patch on her cheek?

LOL! I didn't, Nanci, but I'll go do that now.

Thanks, Susan. I think so too. Then I don't know what I'll do, since I'm keeping some strict numerical limits on my adult breeders and I'm so fond of his dad!

Thanks for all the nice comments, everyone.
