A bit of solstice love for all the worms. MAJOR DUW!!!

Shiari

Blutterer
I realised that I haven't taken pictures of many of my snakes in a very long time... so I spent 2 hours taking photos and feeding everyone today. :D Some wormies were really cooperative, others were not... Nautley is not included in this bunch because s/he was fed yesterday.

But now... Let us begin!

Up first is Liam... He's gonna become a daddy in spring! :D

liam12091.jpg

It's amasing how dark he is now. He used to look almost like a ghost, up until the age of 2. You can even still see the hints of how pink he was in the saddles on his neck.

Such a handsome boy. :3

And here's Torandre, my ghostly girl, who has just now reached 280 grams. Should be ready by spring, methinks. Can't wait for some lovely anery babies.

:3 She's my biggest snake, now that Joxer is happily home with Lolo. In 2011 the twain may very well meet to create some really nice ghostlets.

She's got nice borders, and a really good clean background. And I loooove her yellow nose!

torandre12092.jpg

She also has a really sweet face. How could you not love that?

And third up is Abrina, who will be paired with wither Liam or Oru in 2011.

abrina12093.jpg

I really *really* love how dark she is.

abrina12092c.jpg

And her bright yellow makes a nice contrast. It amuses me that she only has yellow in her markings.

abrina12091.jpg

"mmmm... tasty tanbark!"

More to follow!

Fourth in the photograph pile is Ferenea, my 2007 snow. S/he is finally willing to take hoppers! She's also only had 1 decent photo taken of her *ever* so today was a nice surprise.

ferenea12093.jpg

S/he's kept the baby coloring so far. I really hope the peach and white stay.

ferenea12092.jpg

Those colors are indeed true to life.

ferenea12094.jpg

Not much yellow on the neck... But this kid is yellow from nose to tail tip on the bottom! Every checker is briiiiight yellow. The saddle borders are barely visible and highlighter yellow as well.

Nashe, on the other hand, did NOT want to be cooperative. :/ booger. She has stopped trying to bite me every time I pick her up though.

nashe12091.jpg

"I hate you, Mom. No pictures of me for you!"

Her brother, Oru, was kinder.

oru12092.jpg

"Moooooom.... I was sleeeeeeeeping!"

oru12091.jpg

"mmm.... warm sun...."

oru12093.jpg

"oooooh... what's that over there?"

And yet still more in the next post!

Essan too was only really photogenic in one picture.... His burnt-orange color is really appealing, I think.

essan12091.jpg

Neither was Eliel having anything to do with me. He's getting pink in his ground color, but of course that couldn't possibly show up for a photo.

eliel12091.jpg

And Mallien! He didn't want a photo shoot either and actually had his first triangle head with me today! ... but none of those photos came out well. ;_;

mallien12091.jpg

Aeleshi was the *king* of uncooperative today. But I got a good shot of his shine. Is it just me, or do charcoals seem more prone to this than other morphs?

aeleshi12091q.jpg

I had originally taken some pictures of Vanay and Aeleshi together... they didn't turn out too well (see further below), so I nabbed another one of Vanay and she nommed her dinner.

vanay12095.jpg

"gmarrffle!"

Vanay definitely looks more charcoal than anery, but she doesn't look entirely charcoal either. :3 I loves my mystery.

And I'm going to beg your pardon for the craptacular quality of this next picture.... but it captured something that I have been seeing on Vanay since her last shed...

*Sings*

Do you see what I seeeeee? ..... Yellow! ... IN her saddles??? It's especially apparent in the saddle second from the right. o_O Why is my mystery snakelet getting weirder!?

And one last little photo. Almost forgot Dier! ... She apparently asked Santa for some new clothes for the new year. She was a little shy about being seen in her old one though....

Weeelll, it wouldn't be a mystery if she just made it easy for you!!! ;)

Your snakes are so pretty, Shiari! The mysteries are bad enough--but Oru and Essan are sending me in to some serious snake-envy!

Vanay is turning out to be an exciting little snakeling! It'll be interesting to see what she looks like as a full-fledged adult.

And I love Abrina's colors! Such a nice dark contrast with the silvery background. Definitely my fav of the bunch, though they're all quite gorgeous! :}

Took the words right out of my mouth, uh, fingertips! They are beautiful.

I was going to say that a couple of them were nice, but then we got to Vanay and it made me catch my breath and I forgot all the rest! What a beauty!
